B1 SERIES TUBULAR MEMBRANE – TWIN ENTRY ARRANGEMENT (UF)

For viscous materials, an alternative type of end cap (known as “twin” or “double-entry”) is used that provides two parallel channels each of nine tubes in series. This allows viscous materials to be processed and higher tangential flow velocities to be used, with minimal overall pressure drop.

Description

The temperature limit for the B1 module is 80 o C, and the maximum operating pressure for this module is 16 bar.

The module is made of stainless steel, with 12.7 mm diameter tubular membranes inserted in 18 perforated support tubes and available as standard in lengths 3.66 m, 2.4 m and 1.2 m, providing membrane areas of 2.6 m 2 , 1.7 m 2 and 0.9 m 2 respectively.
